To help you prepare for our big day, we’ve answered a few questions you might have.
Questions & Answers
Lodging
For those traveling from abroad who do not have family in the Ukmerge area, we will arrange accommodation for the night of the wedding at the venue.
We truly wish we could host everyone; however, this is unfortunately not possible for all guests. If accommodation has been arranged for you, we will contact you directly with further details.
Breakfast will be served the following morning for those staying at the venue.
Weather & Dress Code
Lithuanian summer can be beautifully sunny, though at times somewhat unpredictable. You may experience both warm sunshine and a slightly cooler evening. While it rains less than in Bergen, occasional showers do occur.
Dress code: smart and festive 😊
As the celebration will include an evening concert, we recommend bringing comfortable shoes and a jacket for the latter part of the evening.
Gifts
Many of you are traveling from far away to celebrate with us, and we do not take that lightly. Being there with us is more than enough.
If you would still like to give something, a small contribution to our honeymoon would mean a lot to us.
If you were thinking of bringing flowers, we would love a bottle of wine instead. You can add a note with a moment or occasion for us to open it, and we will think of you when we do!
Language
While many people in Lithuania speak English, communication may occasionally be limited. A few Lithuanian phrases might be helpful:
Labas (lah-bahs) – Hi
Ačiū (ah-choo) – Thank you
Iki (ee-kee) – Bye
Food & Drinks
Please let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions in your RSVP so we can accommodate you accordingly. We will share more details about the dinner closer to the wedding date.
There will be a selection of drinks available, both with and without alcohol.
Children
We are planning this as an adults-only celebration.
We do understand that this may not be possible for everyone, especially for those traveling. If attending without your child presents a challenge, please let us know. We will be very happy to find a solution together.
Emergency / Day-of Contact
We will update this section closer to the wedding with contact details for a designated person on the day.
On the wedding day itself, we kindly ask that you contact this person rather than the bride and groom, as we may be occupied with the celebrations.
